Rooted & Rising is a movement and spoken-word performance that centers Black history and Women’s power and explores how women rise through voice, resilience, and collective strength. The work honors Black women’s legacy while intentionally expanding to include women across identities without erasing difference. Through dance and monologue, we challenge stereotypes, reclaim narrative, and embody leadership, courage, and solidarity.
